Bridge of Hope! - Gospel for Asia
It's on again this year God willing – so set aside Saturday 4th September! Following the success of the "Go the Extra Mile" 50km endurance walks over the last three years with 100% of all funds raised going to outreach amongst the Dalit children of South Asia, Gospel for Asia is convening the event again this year. However this year the walk in Brisbane will be called “Bridge of Hope” and will be reduced to the marathon length of 42kms. Other great news is that now you can walk it, run it, or cycle it! What will stay the same – all funds raised will go to the Bridge of Hope program in South Asia. To learn more about this event, Bridge of Hope and the ministry of Gospel for Asia, visit http://www.gfaaustralia.org.au/home.php
P.S..... and thanks!
Gospel for Asia would like to thank all those who contributed to the Christmas Gift Catalogue appeal. Despite the financial doom and gloom, there has been a record number who have given this last Christmas. Hundreds have commented that it is great to know that gifts are given to those who will really need them, and will really appreciate them - but most of all, the Gospel will be shared with every gift. These gifts can be purchased year round by visiting the website or contacting the GFA office on 1300 889 339. To learn more about the ministry, visit the GFA website: www.gospelforasia.org.au.

Destiny Rescue is now on the Central Coast!
In September we celebrated the move of African Inland Mission's (AIM) national offices into Central Coast heartland. Well we have another cause for celebration! The NSW office of Destiny Rescue is now based on the Central Coast. Destiny Rescue is a Christian organisation that rescues children directly from brothels; protects vulnerable children through prostitution prevention programs and provides schooling, vocational training, medical help, counselling and all daily needs for those children who cannot be reunited with their families. Human Trafficking is a HUGE problem and we can all be a part of the solution. There are a number of things that you can do.... If you would like someone from DR to speak at your church..., if you would like to hold a jewellery party, fundraiser, become a volunteer advocate or come on a team trip and learn more about how you can help to abolish modern day slavery ... phone Phil on 0428 111 358 or check out the DR website at www.destinyrescue.org
Help reach the world from your own home
Did you know that millions of 'seekers' around the globe are going online to find answers about God, His son Jesus and the Bible? Many want to talk to a Christian, but they don't know any! Campus Crusade for Christ has developed 90+ internet evangelism sites for this very purpose. This year CCFC estimate that they will receive more than 20 million enquiries! These are first time and re-commitment enquiries.
Today (on average) 30,000 of these people will make a spiritual decision and 7,000 will ask for personal follow up. This outreach has enormous potential and they need our help!
CCFC requires many more online volunteers to help reach the lost. If you have a computer, know how to use email, have some time to spare and your pastor is willing to be your referee you are nearly there! CCFC provides full training, support and online security. If you would like to know how you can help to reach the world from your own home check out http://missionaryfromhome.com/wp/ or phone CCFC on (03) 9014-7584
